Product Description

Unfortunately our previous manufacturer will no longer be able to make our mills. We are currently looking for a new manufacturer here in the US that can produce the same quality product at a volume and price that will keep making these fantastic mills affordable.
As soon as we have more information we will be sure to let everyone know.
Sorry for the inconvenience
The Rebel Mill Home Brew Grain Mill was designed from the ground up by Homebrewers for Homebrewers. Every detail was designed and tested to make sure this is the last mill you will ever need.
The Mill comes standard with High Grade Stainless Steel Rollers (an upgrade on other mills), Heavy duty stainless steel hopper (yes you can stand on it), did I mention that we wanted this mill to last forever?? The side plates are Aircraft Grade Aluminum and the shaft is Hardened Tool Steel.

  • Rollers are fully adjustable at both ends to keep the gap spacing parallel giving a uniform crush along the entire length of the rollers.
  • We worked with veteran brewer and author Dave Miller to find the perfect factory setting on the gap, which is set to .027″, giving a perfect crush on all base malts.
  • Comes with a solid wood base that is precision milled to fit a 6.5 gallon plastic Bucket. (Pail not included)
  • Wooden base is bolted on and can easily be removed so you can mount it to your own mill stand if you wish.
  • Includes standard 10lb hopper (A 10 pound hopper extension will be available soon to double your hopper capacity).
  • The Rebel Mill is shipped fully assembled so you can start crushing grain right away.

This mill does not come with a hand crank, it is meant to be used with a power drill. We recommend a cordless two speed VSR drill running at the higher end of the slow speed setting (we use a DeWalt), you are looking for an RPM of between 350 and 450. If enough people ask for a hand crank we will develop one.

Wow, what a great product. I’m told I was the first to purchase this bad boy so consider me a guinea pig. I’ve never owned a mill before but I can’t imagine one machined quite like this. Runs like a champ with my two-speed Dewalt drill motor and produced a beautiful crush. I got north of 75% efficiency for the first time. Very pleased!

This is a beast of a piece of equipment. It has all of the amazing features mentioned above. Some things that are not mentioned but are awesome:The lip in the last picture fits perfectly to the top of a bucket creating a good seal. The weight of the mill will hold it in place. Especially once it has the grains in it. The crank rod fits a regular drill with a maximum of 3/8″ chuck. You do not need the larger 1/2″ chuck to make it fit. The gap adjustment comes with a notch on the knobs and on the base of the mill so that if you adjust the mill gapping and want to go back to the factory .027″ you can set it back with ease.

    O, it’ a beautiful thing….
What else can I say about my first grain crusher? Does exactly what it says. Hooked up a cheap big drill from the local Chinese crap tools importer and away we went. Even with a cheap drill, took out 15 lbs of grain with no slowing down. Already the crush looks better than what I’ve been getting in the mail. Heavy, durable, and reliable, just like a grain mill should be.

The mill is simply fantastic. With the preset mill gap, we were able to easily get our efficiency up to 75%+. Easily the best thing to add to your brewery to boost your capabilities. Get your grains from your LHBS and then mill them on your own Rebel Grain Mill. It’s a no brainer.

I have now done 3 batches using this mill after previously having everything done at my LHBS. My efficiency shot up to about 81%! Great crush at factory settings, the hull comes out looking feathery and just perfect. I can’t say enough good things, this was a great purchase and is sturdy as a horse.

Picked this up last time I was in the Nashville area. All I can say is….damn. Compared to other mill’s it has a good bit more weight and heft and solid, clean construction. My first crush was perfect without having to make any adjustments.

I bought a JP Malt Mill several years ago and have never been happy with it. The hopper (if you can call it that) holds about a fistful of grain and during the crush hulls fly every which way. I would like to retire the JP and get one of these beauties.
**NOTE: We are hoping to have plenty of stock on these really soon, but if you want to reserve one, you can get on the waiting list, just send us an e-mail with name, e-mail address and phone # and we’ll reserve you one from the next shipment. Cheers – Rebel

Efficiency, up. Time crushing, down. Overall performance, A+++.

Great quality and perfect crush! Efficiency went up 10% from grain milled at local home brew shop.

I found the factory gap setting of 0.027″ to be too tight. I have ground 3 different batches so far and they all appear to be finer than I would like them to be. One batch ended up with a stuck mash where the others had a lot of dusty milled material. I found if the gap was opened a bit to 0.035 the grind was much better. Other than that I think the mill is great. No offence to Dave Miller. Maybe he milled the grain after moistening it a bit and then the 0.027″ gap would work well.

**Rebel Note: Our sample crushes were taken with non-moistened grain. The gap setting of .027 will give a consistent and great crush, however every brewer’s setup is different and may require a coarser or even finer crush.

Got mine with in 24 hours of placing my order! WOW! This thing could crush rocks! It is friggen’ stout, ran 29 lbs through for an Imperial IPA @ factory setting and had a perfect crush!!! I will post pics on HBT soon! If you are looking to finally upgrade your mill look no further, this thing will make you smile!!!

I waited a while to post a review. I have had mine for about a year. No problems. Crush seems too fine, but I am getting 75% eff so I wont change it. Could be my drill rpms. Using a Dewalt 12volt on low setting. I am in no way dissatisfied. I waited a long time for it on the waiting list and it is worth it. Rebel Brewer needs to build a store near me in PA. Excellent people to deal with. Hope they find a new manufacturer. Good product.
