Loading... Please wait...Ahhh, everyone's first fermenter. The memories. I must admit that I still use these quite often for my primary fermenting.
There is no shame in using a fermenter bucket, they are really easy to clean (I can't get my arm down the neck of a carboy).
True, they are plastic and can get scratched...so, we recommend never putting anything into the bucket that is harder than
the plastic, i.e. use a soft bristle brush for cleaning, wood or plastic stir spoons for stirring, you get the picture. Just the same
you should replace ALL the plastic in your system every couple of years anyway, racking canes, transfer tubing, fermenter buckets etc.
It's a whole lot cheaper to replace that stuff, than a whole batch of ingredients. Wow, all that and really no description of the product.
I digress.
Our 6.5 gallon food grade fermenter bucket is perfect for fermenting a 5 gallon batch of brew. It comes with a drilled and grommeted lid.
The grommet in the lid fits an airlock securely. AIRLOCK SOLD SEPARATELY. The lid also has a built in gasket for an air-tight seal.
The graduated printing on the side gives you an idea of your volume. Also has a handy carry handle. Everything you would want in a bucket.
Replacement grommets for lid available.
3-piece Airlock also available.

I purchased this bucket as part one the equipment kits. The lid seems to fit snuggly as it requires a reasonable amount of force get on an off. The graduations on the side are convenient.
I use it as a bottling bucket. It should be noted that this bucket does not come with a spigot.

I ordered a full beginners kit. This bucket fermenter came in the kit. I have done 14 (5)gallon batched of 14 different kinds of beer. This thing is great! I only had an issue 1 time. I brewed a copper Ale with a 1% alcohol boost and yeast fuel in it. It blew out the air lock. I have not had an issue with anything else. I guess I needed to lower the temp or get something with a touch more head space for that one! The beer still came out good. I am still drinking that one. This fermenter is easy to just wipe out with a soft cloth and some fresh water. Then you sanitize it well and you are ready for your next batch of beer. I would recommend this to anyone that is brewing 5 gallon batches of beer. It is cheap and works well. What more can you ask for?

When I ordered the fermenting bucket I "assumed" that it came with the airlock; hence, the big sold separately wording. I had no issues taking the bucket without the airlock and trying to add another one to my next order (which I had ordered and paid for already). The guys at rebel brewer threw in a double bubble for free as long as I promised to spread the word. Well, not only have they helped me there, but many other occasions. So top notch customer service! (The fermenting bucket kicks ass too!) Perfect head space for aggressive fermentation (Hefe/Imperial) and EASY to clean! Awesome product and awesome people!
