Product Description


The Original Barley Crusher MaltMill, the "Home Brewer's Best Friend" has proven to be just that. A high quality grain mill constructed using materials that will last a lifetime, 1018 Cold Rolled Steel for the rollers, 6061 Aluminum for the mill body and hopper, tool steel for the axles with Oil Impregnated bronze bushings.

Precision machining with Quality Control and a LifeTime Warranty assures the homebrewer that this will be the only grain mill they will ever purchase!




Features:

  • Rollers are adjustable at both ends to keep the gap spacing parallel giving a uniform crush along the entire length of the rollers.
  • The rollers have a 12 TPI knurl to efficiently pull the grain through the rollers while leaving the hull intact to form an excellent filter bed for sparging.
  • Comes with a solid base with locators to center the Barley Crusher on a 5 gallon plastic pail. (Pail not included)
  • Includes standard 7lb hopper (15lb version available).
  • Using a 3/8 drillmotor at 500 RPM gives you a crush rate of 6 pounds a minute making the big grain bills fast and easy.
  • The Barley Crusher is shipped fully assembled. There are no adapters needed to use a 3/8 drill motor.
  • The gap default setting is marked and set at .039 at assembly. Adjustment range is from .015 to .070 thousands of an inch.

      My brewing partner decided he would order our grain whole because it would be fun to mill. Well after using a food processor with little success the first time, I bought this mill. We brewed the exact same batch and got an OG of 1.060 with the mill as opposed to the food processor grain with 1.050 OG.

      Now I wish I had it before.It rocks and is worth the coin.

      I researched a dozen different mills/grinders and ended up spending a little more to get this one. It's worth every penny. Extreamly high quality and durable and easily hooks up to a 3/8 drill for big jobs. I've made 10 batches of beer with it so far and it is absolutely great! Thank you for a great product.

      The price of a mill made me hold off. That meant no buying in bulk and always getting the LHBS to crush. Boy am I glad I saved for the Barley Crusher. I haven't even used my drill on it yet; it chews through grain and using the hand crank is a piece of cake. Buy this mill.

      This mill beats the hell out of my old corona grain mill and makes me wish I'd bought this years ago. Milled about 25 lbs in 3-4 minutes. Kept the husks together which made for a very easy and problem free sparge. Buy this mill!

      Hook this up to your drill and you'll grind the barley in less time than it takes to pull it out of the closet. I looked at plenty of other ones that were cheaper but I'm glad I spent the extra on this one. Buy it.
