First off I want to mention that this isn't the same screen as the standard DIY braided steel hose one that you can make. It is a stainless steel screen. It is very sturdy and can support weight. I have a rectangular 54qt Igloo cooler that I installed it in (I was worried it'd be too short) and it takes up about 2/3 or so of the length (with the ball valve coupler installed).

Because of the height of the drain in my cooler it needs to be tilted in order to drain all of the liquid. Not the fault of the screen, just a note.

Also there could be air bubbles in your screen when filling it with liquid. To get rid of the air, just tap the ball valve or even the cooler itself. Less air means faster flow, just a note.
