Perfect for up to 6 gallons of boiling hot wort.
Comes with 8ft of vinyl tubing on the inlet and 8tft on the outlet.
One end has a garden hose fitting which will
fit your garden hose (duh) or your faucet adapter on your sink.
14" of clearance to the goose-necks. Accomodates most brewpots (not tall enough for the Boilermakers).
Innovative design has most of the coils near the top where the most heat is for more efficient cooling!!
Just (carefully!!) lower the chiller into your boiling wort 15 minutes before the end of your boil to sterilize.
Make sure and protect the vinyl tubing from the heat source, vinyl will melt.
At the end of your boil, cut off the heat and start the water flowing through the chiller (the water coming out of the chiller at first will be very hot and will kill your grass). Cover your pot as best you can with the lid.
Stir occasionally and monitor the temperature and you will be surprised at how fast it comes down to pitching temp.
If your tap water is too warm
you may want to add a pre-chiller like our very own Chinchilla.
