Fits all size Boilermaker Brewpots!!
This is more than just a replacement for the old boil kettle screen, it's a whole new way to think about hop filtering in your kettle.
It can easily handle a full pound of pellet hops and everything else that settles out in your boil.
Excellent with whole hops as well.
Not recommended for mashing, you want the False Bottom for that.

I am using the Hop Blocker in a 15 gal MoreBeer kettle (same as Mega Pot). I used a copper tube with a compression fitting to fit the Hop Blocker to my kettle. I use an immersion chiller and a pump to whirlpool to cool the wort and to pull the trub and hops to the center of the kettle.
The Hop Blocker has worked very well to keep hops out of the fermenter, even with 6 ounces of hops in an IPA. You have to make sure it stays flat in the kettle. I really like the design!

Having to whirlpool causes the wort to agitate the hop blocker causing hop sediment to lift the catcher off from the kettle bottom. Once jarred, all the hop sediment ends up in the fermenters. Why couldn't they just enclose the entire product? Someone needs to go back to the drawing board. Looks like I will have to sell this and buy one of their competitor products (which I hate to do since I have all their other products).

Gave mine a test drive this past weekend and I was very happy with the performance. I've used all the others and all plugged easily. The hopblocker didn't plug at all and was simple to use - albiet a little different than the others. I also don't think it is a big deal to hold it down to lift the shield. One, I always have a bucket of sanitizer around when I'm brewing and two, the wort is below the top of the hopblocker when you have to lift it - so its not really necessary to have your paddle sanitized anyway. Typical well designed Blichmann product as far as I'm concerned.

While this seemed to be anticipated with great fanfare, it seems to have landed with a dud.
Blichmann products are usually very well thought out, but this one is just not up to par. The fact that you specifically have to whirlpool to get it to work right, then after everything settles and you drain down to near the bottom, you have to hold the canister down with something while you lift up the little trap door. This requires additional sanitized tools and is a bit of a pain. I also think the overall performance from a filtering aspect is pretty mediocre.
There are other products out there that don't require settling time or additional tools. It's also interesting that the price point is right at the price of a Hop Stopper.
