and a seaweed that clears our beer!! It improves protein coagulation and gives us a better hot
and cold break during and after the boil...protein coagulates and falls to the bottom. The result
is a much clearer and more stable beer. The instructions always say add 1/2 tsp per 5 gallons
15 minutes before the end of the boil. Here is how I learned to do it. Before I start brewing, I
put the 1/2 to 1 tsp (don't go over the recommended amount as this will actually cloud your beer!!)
in a coffee cup with warm water, I also put in whatever yeast nutrient that I will be using.
When it comes time to add it into the boil, pour the contents of the cup into a small food processor
or blender and liquify. Basically you are making a "happy shake" for your beer. Dump it into your
boil and watch the magic happen.
