Usage: Dual
This is one EXTREME hop!!
Description: Described during selection as “breathtaking” Nelson Sauvin has the unique ability to impart a distinctive cool climate white wine “fruitiness”.
A hop that requires judicious application in the brew house, this truly unique dual-purpose variety can be used to produce big punchy Ales as well as subtle yet bitter Lagers.
The fruitiness may be a little overpowering for the un-initiated, however those with a penchant for bold hop character will find several applications for this true brewer's hop.
Some describe the aroma as "Fresh Crushed Gooseberries"
Typical Beer Styles: Everything from American Pale Ales to Super Premium Lagers, or specialty seasonals.
Possible Substitutions: I don't think there is a hop out there like it, sorry.
Although these hops are not yet "Certified" organic, they are pesticide and spray free.
Typical Alpha Acid: 11 - 13%
Country of Origin: New Zealand

If you want that hardcore grapefruit aroma with great bittering qualities this is it, there's nothing like it. Try this in your next pale ale but really like the taste/aroma as a finishing hop.
