Patagonia Specialty malts are gaining popularity with American Craft brewers and are consistently coming out on top in side by side blind taste tests. Patagonia has been growing and malting barley in Chile since 1896. Their barley is certified European varieties grown in the perfect soil conditions of Central and Southern Chile where the climate conditions are very similar to Northern Europe.
The barley is then malted and kilned in their state of the art German facility.
