Description: This hop was bred to be a replacement for Challenger.
It has a pleasant spicy "English Ale" aroma with very clean bittering properties.

I wouldn't go so far as to call this the greatest ale hop out there but I would say my best ales have been made with phoenix hops. It imparts greater than average flavor as well as bitterness and aroma. That little flavor involved makes this stuff perfect for adding an edge to otherwise unexciting styles like pale ales, blondes and browns. salud
