ESB stands for Extra Special (or Strong) Bitter, but don't let the term bitter throw you off, it isn't a bitter beer at all, but a perfectly balanced English Ale with a huge depth of flavor.

This beer is light and easy drinking. The color is like that of a blonde and the flavor reminds me of a Kolsch with a little malty flavor. Just enough hopps to balance the malt. If you like Boddingtons, you'll love this!!!

It was my first batch and the instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. If you plan on using a carboy, start this off in a bucket because you have to add hops in 4 days after the brew and its hard to mix them in while its in a carboy. Tastes awesome though.
