You know the old adage about building a better mousetrap. Well the old bubbling airlock of yesteryear may now be obsolete. Check out these all new silicone waterless airlocks, these are now the shop favorites and they fit 3, 5, 6 and 6.5 gallon glass carboys.

This breathable Silicone stopper acts as both a stopper and an airlock. It's unique design allows CO2 pressure to escape but keeps oxygen and airborne contaminates out. As an added bonus (like you needed another reason), it will create a vacuum when the wort is cooling or if you move your fermenter into a cooler environment (no more sucking back water out of the old airlocks). Also, the airtight seal is ideal for extended ferments when CO2 production is still present but very slight. In addition, the center piece can be raised for "open fermenting" or removed for cleaning. Since it is silicone, it can handle up to 570 degrees, so it can be boiled for sanitizing and cleaning.
