had a smoked Pilsner that was pretty good). Use up to 100% (if you want something seriously intense).

This is the real thing, variability and all. Some batches are smokier than others, so be prepared to go +/- 7-10% between batches based on freshness and smoke level. Also, try not to hold onto this malt in storage too long as that will let the beechwood flavor leach away.
This is a great malt to use for a decoction/multi-step mash to attain full conversion in the German style. It's a lot of effort, but worth the time for a totally unique flavor.
