for amazing cold-break and extremely clear run-off.
Whirlfloc® is an enhanced Irish Moss tablet supercharged with sodium bicarbonate for rapid deployment.
Add just one tablet per 5 gallons during last 10-15 minutes of boil and watch it work.

Having used both products...rehydrated moss produces a more better cold-break.
One-half teaspoon of moss...when added to the boil of a 2.5G batch-size @20"...has routinely produced 1 QT less trub than 1/2 tab of Whirlfloc.
** Note: Just to clarify, what you are saying is that the Whirlfloc produced 1 QT more trub, wouldn't that make it the better clarifier?? -Rebel

Used em all and this for the price and what it does is the best IMO. Only need 1/2tab per 5 gal batch as 1 tablet is generally for 10-15 gal batches. use last 5min. of boil or it losses some effectiveness.

This works so well, if racked in a glass carboy you will see what looks like a snow blizzard inside. Ive read and believe that you can actually use 1/2 of a tablet in a 5 gallon batch and use it at the last 5-10 minutes of boil.
