Smoky Mountain Brown Ale Kit
This Tennessee Fall recipe has been a favorite around Rebel over the years so we decided to offer it up to the masses. Style wise it lands in between a Northern English and an American Brown ale. Medium bodied with the focus on British caramel and chocolate malt flavors, and a touch of Weyermann Beechwood Smoke makes this an Autumn classic. At almost 40 IBUs Northern Brewer and East Kent Golding hops give a solid bitterness and an American ale yeast provides a clean finish. The perfect brew to welcome cooler weather wherever you are.

I’ve had this fermenting for about 40 hrs and couldn’t resist taking a sample — it already tastes absolutely delicious! The smoke is nice and subtle, not lacking but not overpowering either, and has a very nice roasted chocolate malt finish to it.
Definitely brewing up more of this as the holidays come. Thanks guys!

As promised, this beer drinks best outside on a cold fall night (preferably around a fire.) The only problem is, well, it goes too quick!
